About Us

Overview

The Virginia Association of Personal Care Providers (VAPCP) is a statewide association for companies that provide in-home personal care services to the elderly and disabled. There are a growing number of personal care providers across the Commonwealth, including for-profit and not-for-profit companies, who share common goals and challenges. There has never been a more important time for providers to join together to assure the future of personal care services in Virginia. The Association unites owners and operators to work together for recipients and for their company’s future. If you are an owner or operator of a personal care provider company, we invite you to join our growing network.

As we continue to grow, we look forward to welcoming new agencies and renewing relationships with our returning members. We look forward to expanding our annual events, implementing some new ideas, and as always, sharing with you the amazing benefits offered by the VAPCP. Our membership has grown to over 70 agencies. We will provide you with important information such as legislative news, important changes to regulations, current events affecting providers and ways you can help.

Through this web site and through e-mail, we keep you informed with the latest regulatory information from Virginia Medicaid officials, Virginia Department of Health – Office of Licensure and Certification and our lobbyist to make sure that our members have accurate and up-to-date information to guide their operations.

Benefits of the Membership

Members of the VAPCP Board of Directors are owners, operators and upper level managers who work in the everyday operations of their agencies, often facing common challenges. Becoming a member provides a forum to share and network. VAPCP encourages members to take active roles in legislative issues by creating relationships with members of Congress and state legislators. This is a necessary and powerful dynamic. VAPCP provides its members with timely legislative and regulation changes as well as giving notification of important compliance issues. VAPCP will provide clear and decisive representation of the providers to the legislators, state regulatory agencies, the medical community, and the general public.  We are your united voice!

The larger our numbers, the louder our voice, the stronger our influence for the benefit of our clients and provider agencies. Together as a group we can thrive and provide the best personal care services to our recipients!

You membership dues pay for: Lobbyist, Legal Representation, Website Maintenance, Printings & Mailings, Administrative Assistant, Incidental Charges at the Annual & Spring Conferences and more!
